Melba in London (last day here!) Melba in London [Sunday, December 17th, 2006 @ 8:42am] [ mood | very, very sleepy ] [ music | Alexisonfire ] So it is officially 1:35pm in London and it's only 25 more minutes until I can actually check into the hotel. I am at the lounge, have been since 12:45pm, I guess for the second time. I am so tired, I feel like sleeping on these very comfortable couches. I have only gotten an hour of sleep on the plane because well it's not really in my nature to go to sleep at 10pm (our time), so my body is all mixed up because of the time change. I was perusing the city today, seeing as how I had a lot of time to kill. I ended up at Trafalgar Square, but I originally started at Westminister. I took the tube which is pretty good, except I still prefer the ttc (subway) over it. Walking from one line to the next takes forever! They should have a train that goes from line to line. And there are so many lines so it's a little confusing. I happened to end up close to Buckingham Palace and I wanted to save that visit after my "sleep", there's a huge Christmas tree near the National Gallery so I figured I'd go back there tonight and take a few photos. I've already taken a lot of photos. I am in none of them because well I have gone here alone... I am really enjoying my visit here, it's everything I thought it would be and I've built it up in my head so much that it would only set me up for disappointments but really it's lived up to the hype. I should upload my photos so I can clear up some space. I wonder if my hotel room has a television, I am so sleepy but I could go for watching some BBC, I wonder if extras is showing repeats. Oh gosh, 19 more minutes, must stay awake, must stay awake. Will update with more things later. For now surf the net to keep me up. and she screams__words unsung

[Tuesday, October 31st, 2006 @ 10:31am] [ mood | sleepy ] [ music | Naiad ] totally not paying attention. i'm so excited about bringing my ibook to class. on top of that i have the internet so i don't even need to pay attention. besides i understand more when i actually read the chapter and seeing as how i haven't read it thus far, the prof's just blabbing away and i don't really understand her. i'm back from my trip to San Francisco on the weekend. It was so much fucking fun! Best weekend ever! I'll write about it when I have time and perhaps post the very rare pictures I took. It's an interesting topic but decided not to really go all out for it, at least the outline. Yesterday was my brother's 20th birthday. I bought him a new fancy phone. It's somewhat exciting. It makes me want a new phone. 2 more days until I leave for San Francisco for the weekend, I am excited about that. I get to see Alexisonfire and Le Cancer Bats, plus go to get some vegan pizza! So ecstatic. I also have a half a sleeve appointment this coming Wednesday, somewhat nervous and excited. [Friday, October 13th, 2006 @ 9:20pm] [ mood | blah ] [ music | These Arms Are Snakes: Easter ] the school week is over and i completed 2 midterms as well as an essay. i talked to daniela and hung out with her today. we went to cafe polonez. she hung out at roncesvalles. i am kind of sad. it's hard to explain. i want to go to england to see Patrick Wolf on December 19th, but i think the tickets are sold out and that is such a bummer. I am excited about going to Belgium during Reading Break. I am also excited that I get to go to San Francisco at the end of the month. I have to read in the skin of a lion, it's a great story. I've been listening non-stop to the Ricky Gervais podcasts. It's hilarious, I love it. It makes my love for England and all things British increase exponentially. So much to do, so little time or however the cliche goes. words unsung
